Why The Shiny Ball?

The Shiny Ball, name doesn't just sound right, and brings some thoughts to your mind, doesnt it? 

• Haven't heard of this earlier
• Maybe its about sports
• This guy cudnt get a better name for his blog 
• Bloody attention seeker etc...

So when I was thinking of writing a blog at about 12:30 am, a someone pinged me on my office chat and asked me if I was a freak to be online on office chat at that time.

Me - Well Ms Sm1, Are you a freak to be online at this time on a weekend?
Ms Sm1 - work related bullshit ......more work related bullshit .....some more work related bullshit....
Me [cutting through the bullshit]- I was thinking of a suitable name for my blogspot, can you help?
Ms Sm1 - sure how can I help [she was being nice to me, well most of them are]
Me - Can you give me one word for random thoughts or spontaneous ideas [my writings are some random thoughts or spontaneous ideas that come to my mind]
Ms Sm1 - [probably agreeing to her earlier statement of me being a freak] ummmm lemme think "Squirrel"
Me - What [thinking that she is half asleep]
Ms Sm1 - [Explaining really nicely] A squirrel jumps from one branch to another or from one tree to another....is easily distracted.....
And then coming to the point - [her blogspot is named Something Squirrel, so maybe she wanted a partner in crime with a blogspot called The Shiny Squirrel, disaster !!]

After some 3 - 4 mins of chat about what should be the blog's name, she came up with "The Shiny Ball" and it took me less than a second to decide that this will be my blog's name.

The Shiny Ball is a part of the whole - The Shiny Ball Syndrome 

Shiny Ball Syndrome is essentially where an individual has a wonderful opportunity but is distracted by the next opportunity that comes along. That can happen to the best of us.

Too complex, in simple words its getting distracted due to the shiny ball [distraction]

The idea wasn't to bore you guys but to just explain my blogspot's name, and in doing so, I know Ms Sm1 would have been more than happy to add, but that's all for now
